HADO, the Next-Generation AR Sport, Introduced at a Child Development Facility in Japan

Meleap Inc., the developer of the next-generation AR sport HADO, has announced its introduction at Global Kids Method Kazo-Kisai, a child development and welfare facility located in the northern part of Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
Note: Saitama Prefecture is about 70 km north of Tokyo.

This is the first implementation of HADO in a child welfare facility in the Kanto region (the Greater Tokyo area).
The facility is set to open on November 1, 2025, and aims to provide a new type of experiential content that allows children, even those who are not athletic, to enjoy physical activity while supporting their growth and communication skills.

Background

Global Kids Method focuses not only on academic support but also on activities that involve physical movement and peer interaction, which are essential for children’s overall development.

However, some children may find it difficult to engage in conventional exercise programs due to developmental differences or lack of interest in sports.

To address this, HADO has been introduced as a fun, full-body activity that even children who are less active can enjoy.
By combining game-like AR visuals with physical movement, HADO provides a unique and engaging way to stay active.

Objectives

Through HADO, children naturally develop cooperation and communication skills.
By facing challenges together and sharing successes, they gain confidence and initiative in daily life and learning.

Four Key Skills Developed Through HADO

  1. Challenging Spirit – Experiencing both wins and losses fosters a positive attitude of “I’ll try harder next time.”

  2. Thinking Ability – Children adjust parameters like “energy ball speed,” “charge time,” and “shield strength,” develop strategies, and analyze game data, fostering a natural “think → try → reflect” learning cycle.

  3. Social Skills – Team battles encourage cooperation and role-sharing, helping children develop communication and social skills.

  4. Physical Fitness – Repetitive full-body movements like running, jumping, and squatting improve endurance, agility, flexibility, balance, and promote healthy exercise habits.

About HADO

HADO is an AR (Augmented Reality) sport where players wear headsets and arm sensors to launch “energy balls” and use “shields” in real-world spaces.
No cables or controllers are needed, and its intuitive full-body movements make it easy for anyone to play.
Currently enjoyed in over 39 countries worldwide, HADO is gaining attention as a next-generation sport suitable for all ages.

Content Introduced at Kazo-Kisai

  1. HADO – Team-based battles in AR space that develop teamwork and strategic thinking.

  2. HADO SHOOT! – A shooting game where children defeat monsters on a wall with hand movements while collecting items for high scores.

  3. HADO MONSTER BATTLE – Cooperative team battles against giant monsters that teach collaboration and role-sharing.
