10 Years of HADO

2016 — HADO is Born

HADO was created in Japan as a new form of AR sport.

The first HADO WORLD CUP was held in Tokyo in November 2016, bringing together players to compete on a global stage.

From Competition to Sport

As more players discovered HADO, competition became an important part of its growth.

Players began developing their own skills and strategies, teams emerged, and international competitions expanded.

HADO evolved from an activity that people could simply experience into a sport that players could dedicate themselves to mastering.

From Japan to the World

HADO gradually expanded beyond Japan and reached players around the world.

Today, HADO is played in more than 40 countries and regions, connecting people across different cultures through the shared experience of sport and technology.

Celebrating 10 Years in Shanghai

As part of HADO’s 10th anniversary year, four international championships will be held in Shanghai, China, during the VIRTUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL from November 20–22, 2026.

The program will include:

• HADO WORLD CUP
• HADO INTERNATIONAL CAMPUS CHAMPIONSHIP
• HADO SOLO GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP
• HADO WORLD GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The HADO WORLD CUP 2026 will take place on November 21, bringing top players from around the world together to compete for the world title.
