Panathinaikos, One of Greece’s Leading Sports Clubs, Brings HADO to Its Summer Camp Program
One of the largest and most recognized sports organizations in Greece, Panathinaikos, recently introduced HADO to children participating in its Daily Summer Camp in Athens.
Founded in 1908, Panathinaikos is one of the most successful and historic sports clubs in Greece and a well-known name in European sports.
The club operates teams across a wide range of disciplines, including football, basketball, volleyball, and esports, and is committed to providing innovative sporting experiences for young athletes.
As part of this initiative, the Panathinaikos E-Sports division organized a HADO demonstration at the “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” Indoor Hall, where children attending the club’s Daily Summer Camp had the opportunity to experience the world’s first AR sport.
The session was led by HADO players Spyros Spatoulas and Giannis Trifan, together with Team Manager Michalis Papadimitrakis.
Participants learned the basics of HADO, formed teams, and competed against one another using AR headsets and motion sensors.
By combining physical activity, teamwork, strategy, and immersive technology, HADO offered campers a unique sports experience unlike traditional gaming or conventional sports. The event introduced young athletes to a new form of competition that encourages communication, movement, and tactical thinking.
The collaboration highlights the growing interest in HADO among established sports organizations worldwide.
As HADO continues to expand globally, partnerships with leading clubs such as Panathinaikos help bring augmented reality sports to new communities and inspire the next generation of players.
